TwinFocus®: first concentration photovoltaic system

Treviso hosts the first concentration photovoltaic system

The Italian province of Treviso hosts the first demonstration system of high concentration photovoltaic:  an excellent example of synergy between research, public administration and private industry. At 10:30 a.m on Tuesday 4 December 2012,  in San Vendemiano (Treviso), Atem Energia and Unitek Group presented to the Authorities and the press the first demonstration system of high concentration photovoltaic, installed on the premises of Unitek srl.

The project is based on TwinFocus® parabolas and has been developed by Unitek srl, Unimold srl, Unica srl, Piazza Rosa srl and Atem Energia, a participated spin-off of Padua University. The research and development stage was financed by the Centro Fermi, Padua University and the Veneto Regional Government through Polo Fotovoltaico. The production stage of the first demonstration photovoltaic technology was made possible by corporate investments with the support of the Veneto Region Council for Economy and Development, Research and Innovation, with co-financing under the terms of Regional law.
